Soil and Water Conservation Society
The Kansas State Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS) is part of an international scientific and educational organization dedicated to promoting the stewardship of soil and water resources through conservation, education, and professional engagement. The chapter helps educate the public about soil and water conservation while also supporting the development of future conservation professionals.
Through monthly meetings, guest lectures from academics and industry professionals, community service projects, and networking events with SWCS and Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) professionals, members gain insight into current conservation issues and build valuable professional connections.
The SWCS student chapter meets regularly throughout the semester for guest speakers, chapter activities, service projects, and professional development opportunities. Meetings provide a space for students to engage with conservation topics and connect with peers and professionals in the field.
The SWCS student chapter offers opportunities for students to participate in conservation outreach, service projects, and professional networking events. Any undergraduate or graduate student with an interest in soil and water conservation or related fields is welcome to join.
