Overview

The SWCS student chapter hosts events throughout the year that promote soil and water conservation, connect students with professionals, and provide service and outreach opportunities. These activities help students explore conservation issues, engage with the community, and build relationships within the conservation field.

Pumpkin Fundraiser

The Pumpkin Fundraiser is one of the chapter’s major annual activities and helps support student programming and events. It also provides members with an opportunity to work together, engage with the community, and promote the chapter’s mission.

 

 

 

 

 

Networking Night with SWCS & NRCS

This event connects students with professionals from the Soil and Water Conservation Society and the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Networking Night allows students to learn about career opportunities, ask questions about professional pathways, and build connections with individuals working in soil, water, and natural resource conservation.

Soil Painting is a hands-on outreach and educational activity that highlights the diversity and importance of soils while encouraging creativity. This event promotes awareness of soil conservation in an engaging and accessible way for both students and the broader community.
