Remote Judging

Judging Criteria

Cultural Practices Documentation form will be submitted to contest organizers (either through e-mail or webform) and will be scored from 0-100 points. Scoring will be based on completeness, accuracy, adherence to rules, and creativity in plant husbandry. All entries must submit the documentation form two weeks prior to the judging date.
Plant height (cm) will be measured at the highest leaf point above the soil surface with no leaf extension (plants can be staked).
Number of fully developed trifoliate leaves will be counted.
Plant mass will be the wet weight (g) of the plant cut off at the soil surface.
Leaf area (cm²) of the largest trifoliate leaf will be measured.

Instructions for remote judging

Materials needed for remote judging include

meter stick
balance capable of weighing to the nearest gram
paper with 1-cm grid lines (download gird paper here)
mobile device (phone, tablet, etc.) to take photos and submit results

It is generally easiest to proceed through the judging in the following order. Click on the links for detailed instructions.

Submit your results using the following Google form. Please note the form will require you to sign into your Google account. We do not receive or collect any account information. The sign in is a Google form requirement because we have your submit photos of your plant through the form.
