2026 National and Kansas Corn Yield Contests – Registration Closes August 12

Kansas farmers are encouraged to enter the 2026 National and Kansas Corn Yield Contests. Those who enter the National Corn Yield Contest are automatically entered in the Kansas Corn Yield Contest. Registration is open until 4:30 CT on August 12, 2026. Many seed companies pay for entry and membership fees for growers through the NCYC voucher program. Harvest entry will open August 13, 2026.

In the Kansas Corn Yield Contest, growers compete locally for cash prizes and recognition for irrigated and non-irrigated yields in ten districts as well as awards for the state’s top irrigated and non-irrigated entries. Kansas Corn also awards the overall state winner and district first-place winners for the Nitrogen Management Class, as well as the top three Kansas winners in the new Short-Season Corn Class. KCYC prizes will be awarded at the Kansas Corn Symposium in January 2027.

Seed sales representatives can also earn recognition! The top three seed sales reps with the most participants in the contest will receive cash prizes at the Kansas Corn Symposium.

National Corn Yield Contest winners receive trophies, national recognition in publications, and other awards from participating seed, chemical, and crop protection companies. NCYC winners will be honored at the 2027 Commodity Classic in New Orleans.
