Livestock Mortality Management Workshop Planned for July 29

K-State Research and Extension's Wildcat District, in partnership with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the Kansas Department of Agriculture, will host a Livestock Mortality Management Workshop on Wednesday, July 29, at the Southeast Research-Extension Center near Parsons.

The workshop will focus on shallow burial with carbon, an innovative livestock carcass disposal method. Participants will learn about the materials required, potential benefits, and management considerations of the practice during classroom instruction and an on-site demonstration.

The workshop begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Southeast Research-Extension Center, 25092 Ness Road, Parsons, Kansas. Lunch will be provided through the Bill House Grant.
