Regional Canola Meeting Scheduled for August 4 in Enid, Oklahoma

Canola producers, crop consultants, industry representatives, and others interested in canola production are invited to attend the 2026 Regional Canola Meeting on Tuesday, August 4, at the Chisholm Trail EXPO Center in Enid, Oklahoma. The meeting will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will feature research updates, production recommendations, and industry perspectives relevant to canola growers across the region.

The program will feature keynote speaker Dr. John Kirkegaard, Farming Systems Agronomist with Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), presenting "Canola in Australia: Secrets to the Success Story in a Tough Environment."

Additional presentations will include updates on canola variety performance and breeding from Mike Stamm, K-State canola breeder; harvest management recommendations from Josh Bushong, Oklahoma State University Extension area agronomist; producer perspectives on differentiating canola and wheat; and the latest information on canola varieties, hybrids, and marketing from industry representatives. An industry-sponsored lunch will be provided.
