Graduate Scholarships

  • Armbrust Fund for Excellence Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student with preference to students from Ellsworth, Scott or Lane County, Kansas.
  • Bernard E. and Estelle L. Foote Scholarship in Agriculture is awarded to an agronomy graduate student who is active and interested in the research and development of the production of wheat.
  • Carl and Betty C. Overley Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student with an interest in seed technology, plant genetics, physiology, anatomy, or ecology.
  • Dan M. Rodgers Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student in the plant breeding program with an emphasis in sorghum breeding.
  • Deane F. Weber Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student with demonstrated academic excellence in soil microbiology.
  • Ernest L. and Lou R. Adams Scholarship is awarded to a graduate student in the Department of Agronomy with an interest in range management.
  • Gary and Lorraine Kilgore Distance Masters of Science Agronomy Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy masters graduate student with preference to Kansas State University Extension agents.
  • George W. Wright Scholarship is awarded to a Master’s student in agronomy with an emphasis is soil chemistry or soil biochemistry.
  • Irvin D. and Dora Mae Atkins Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy or plant breeding graduate student with demonstrated academic excellence and dedication to the profession. Preference is given to those with a farm background and a native of Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, or Texas.
  • John H. Parker Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student with an emphasis in plant breeding
  • Kansas Seed Industry Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student with an emphasis in plant breeding and the seed industry.
  • Kenneth C. and Ann Currie Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student with preference given to a student from Stockton, KS or Rooks County, Kansas.
  • Larry Bonczkowski Memorial Graduate Agronomy Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student with preference for students from Kansas.
  • Louis P. and Elva G. Reitz Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student in plant breeding. Scholarship criteria includes academic excellence and dedication to the profession.
  • Neal and Florence E. Morehouse Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student with an interest in crop production, soil management.
  • Ray I. Throckmorton Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student with demonstrated academic excellence and dedication to the profession.
  • Ray Lamond Memorial Graduate Scholarship in Agronomy is awarded to an agronmy graduate student with past and current community involvement.
  • Raymond V. Olson Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student with an emphasis in soils, with preference to a student in soil chemistry. In addition, the recipient will be a United States citizen.
  • Ron Wells Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student studying range management.
  • Roscoe Ellis, Jr. Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student in soil science. Scholarship criteria includes academic excellence and dedication to the profession.
  • Schrader/Massier Graduate Excellence Scholarship is awarded to a new graduate student in agronomy in the area of crop production or crop physiology for their first year.
  • SFP and Dr. George Walter Wallingford Agronomy and Soil Science Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student with an interest in sustainable agriculture and the future of agribusiness.
  • The Rannells Scholarship is awarded to an agronomy graduate student studying range management.
