- Nelson's Landing Restaurant
While driving through Leonardville, KS, you will notice that it is authentic Kansas small-town. One special gem in this town is Nelson's Landing, owned by local farmers Alan and Kim Nelson. Along with operating Nelson Angus Family Farm, Alan and Kim have another claim to fame - they are the parents of Green Bay Packer's wide receiver Jordy Nelson. Jordy Nelson started his football career with Kansas State before being drafted by the Green Bay Packers (WR) in 2008. Not only is Jordy a proud alumni, but he and his family are very active in the Riley County community. Jordy's parents opened Nelson's Landing in December 2007 to create a genuine family atmosphere with good home cooking. Once you step in this fine establishment, you may see all the Green Bay Packer decorations and get confused - but don't worry, you are still in Kansas!
