Assistant Scientist, North Farm

This position is located at the Agronomy Research Farm in Manhattan, KS.  The Agronomy Research Farm provides areas for research, teaching and extension activities as well as the production of Foundation class seed.  This position is an integral part of the farm team and as such is responsible for carrying out many of the day to day activities including but not limited to: operating equipment to till, plant, fertilize, apply pesticides and harvest; producing, transporting and conditioning Foundation seed; providing customer service to seedsman; interacting with faculty, research staff, graduate students and undergraduate students to facilitate their research activities; and maintaining farm facilities and equipment.  Supervision of hourly student workers is required.

Assistant Scientist, Wheat Breeding

The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for an Assistant Scientist who will work within the K-State wheat breeding program. This individual will have responsibility for field operations, including experimental design, planting, data collection, harvest and data analysis, as well as greenhouse operations such as planting, harvesting and crossing. The person is also expected to coordinate Fusarium head blight screening efforts in collaboration with personnel in the department of Plant Pathology.

Assistant Scientist, Weed Physiology

The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for a Assistant Scientist to work on greenhouse and laboratory research related to Weed Physiology, specifically to investigate mechanisms of herbicide resistance in weeds. This individual will work closely with the other members of Weed Science team in Manhattan and conduct biochemical and molecular mechanisms of herbicide resistance in weeds/crops.
