Dr. Yu joined the faculty in the Department of Agronomy at Kansas State University in August 2006. He obtained his Ph.D. from University of Minnesota in 2003, M.S. from Kansas State University in 2000, and B.S. from Northwestern Agricultural University in 1994. At K-State, he is starting a lab in Genetic and Genomics for Crop Improvement, where the focus is to develop novel methods for utilizing cutting edge genetic and genomic tools in complex trait dissection and plant breeding.
